Dietz.asia, a seamless telemedicine solution for hospitals, has won the 1st runner-up position in the “Hack for Good Health and Well-being” event organized by Electronic Transactions Development Agency. The creation event took place in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Chiang Mai is a province in northern Thailand, covering a majority of forests and mountains that make it difficult for patients to access hospitals. Every year, over 6.5 million patients, especially those with non-communicable diseases, travel long distances of 200 km or more and wait for up to 4 hours to see a doctor in hospitals in Chiang Mai.

The Dietz Telemedicine station has great potential to be implemented in Health Promotion Hospitals across the 279 hospitals in Chiang Mai. Dietz telemedicine can help patients reduce the cost of transportation to hospitals and monitor their health conditions without having to travel to the hospital. This means that patients can achieve better outcomes and reduce the risk of complications.
